GRIME star Wiley is facing arrest after failing to turn up to court after being accused of assaulting an ex-kickboxer during a break-in.

A warrant has now been issued for the 42-year-old rapper's arrest after he didn't turn up to London's Thames Magistrates Court today.

He was due to answer charges of assault by beating and burglary of a dwelling with intent to cause damage in wake of the incident on August 28.

The artist is accused of allegedly breaking into the home of former world kickboxing champion Ali Jacko as he relaxed with friends, before smashing plates and assualting him.

A friend of 53-year-old Mr Jacko called police after a row allegedly erupted in the flat in Forest Gate, East London.

The self-proclaimed 'Godfather of Grime' is said to have used Mr Jacko's recording studio before the Covid pandemic.

District Judge Ross Johnson has now issued a "warrant not back for bail" for Wiley - real name Richard Cowie Jr - to be arrested and produced in court.

Cowie, who earned an MBE in 2018 for services to music, represented himself at an earlier hearing two weeks ago.
