SHAH ALAM: Ng Suee Lim has come out tops in the Selangor DAP polls here on Sunday (Nov 14).
He beat 51 others with 786 votes while Kinrara assemblyman and state executive councillor Ng Sze Han came in second with 699 votes.
Ng's win was expected given his standing as an elected representative as well as the state Speaker.
The selection of state party leaders was determined by the top 15 voted by delegates, the previous line-up of top leaders was retained except for Sungai Pelek assemblyman Ronnie Liu, who did not make it into the top 15.
Gobind Singh Deo continues to head the team, but former treasurer Sze Han is now the secretary, taking over from Liu while Bangi MP Dr Ong Kian Meng takes over as treasurer.
Some 1,116 delegates from 218 divisions attended the Selangor DAP 2021 Ordinary State Convention at the Shah Alam Convention Center.
Fifty-one Selangor DAP members contested in the state polls for the 15 positions.
