KUALA LUMPUR: The enhanced movement control order (EMCO) at several localities at Johor, Pahang and Sabah will end on Monday (July 5).
Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the four localities are Kampung Tanjung Genting, Kampung Benaung, Kampung Makam and Kampung Sawah Datok.
"To date 2,018 screenings were conducted there with 78 positive cases recorded.
"The EMCO at Taman Bukit Bendera, Taman Rimba, Taman Sri Layang, Taman Saga and Taman Saga Indah at Mentakab, Pahang would also end on Monday," he said in a statement on Sunday (July 4).
He said 1,041 individuals had been screened and 69 detected 69 cases.
"Meanwhile, the EMCO at Ladang Brumas at Kalabakan, Kampung Pulutan at Nabawan and Taman Wijaya Park at Kota Kinabalu in Sabah will end on the same day.
"At Ladang Brumas, 201 screenings were conducted with 38 positive cases recorded while at Kampung Pulutan, 321 screenings were conducted with 25 cases recorded," he said, adding that at Taman Wijaya Park, 363 screenings were conducted with 12 positive cases recorded.
He said the government decided to end the EMCO at these localities as scheduled on July 5 after a risk assessment was conducted by the MCO technical committee.
