Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall under fire over photo snub 'Where's the criticism?'

Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall opted for a joint christening for their sons, August Brooksbank and Lucas Tindall. The children's celebration brought together Royal Family members including the Queen, in her first family event since being advised to rest by her doctors, and the Duke and Duchess of York. However, Her Majesty's granddaughters have not released pictures from the event, a move royal podcaster Rachel Bowie suggested might draw criticism similar to that faced by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry following Archie Harrison's baptism in 2019.

Speaking to her Royally Obsessed co-host Roberta Fiorito, Ms Bowie said: “Speaking of photos sharing about Thanksgiving, I wonder if we will get professional photos of the double christening.

“This kind of strikes me as odd because there was so much criticism about Harry and Meghan being kind of secretive about the arrivals of Archie’s christening and them not release the name of their godparents and neither of these Royal women have done that.

“Usually there is a couple of days delay when it's related to the line of succession should be photos but not sure.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle held their son's christening privately at St George's Chapel and shared pictures of the event a few days after the ceremony.

The couple released a set of two pictures of the event, one of them embracing their son in Windsor Castle's gardens and another one with relatives, including Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, as well as Princess Diana's sisters, Baroness Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale.

Contrary to Sunday's joint ceremony, the Queen did not attend Archie Harrison's christening due to a previous engagement.

But Princess Eugenie's close friend, and Prince Harry's ex, Cressida Bonas was in attendance alongside her husband.

The private event took place on November 21 at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor Castle.

Cousins Zara and Eugenie both paid tribute to their late grandfather, Prince Philip, who sadly died earlier this year aged 99.

August’s full name is August Philip Hawke Brooksbank and Lucas is Lucas Philip Tindall.

Royal babies are traditionally given up to four names often drawn from a selected roster of picks, and it isn’t uncommon for the royals to borrow names from their loved ones.

Mike Tindall said "it was a lovely day" as he revealed to the podcast The Good, The Bad, and the Rugby 8-month-old Lucas also enjoyed having holy water from the River Jordan poured over his head.

Mike Tindall continued: ”He did, actually.

"I took him swimming in the morning, so I think I readied him for it.

”He was quite looking forward to it when the water was coming out.”

The holy water was brought back to the UK by Prince Charles, who went on a royal overseas trip to Jordan and Egypt last week.
