PETALING JAYA: Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) is welcome in Batu Tiga, says outgoing PKR assemblyman Rodziah Ismail.

       "I welcome Amanah contesting in Batu Tiga based on the spirit of unity," she said in a post on Twitter following the exchange of seats between the two parties.

       In the exchange, Amanah will contest the Batu Tiga seat while PKR will contest Hulu Kelang.

       When announcing PKR’s candidates in Shah Alam yesterday, Prime Minister and PKR chief Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said there was a last-minute change in seats.

       “I sympathise with Rodziah but I had to do the last phase of negotiations. I am really sorry Rodziah,” he told the Ampang MP while announcing the candidate for Hulu Kelang.

       “Sometimes we don’t agree with all decisions but when the situation reaches a dead end we must be ready to give and take,” he added.

       Anwar said there was a reason for the swap.
