KUALA LUMPUR: Country Heights Holdings Bhd (CHHB) has entered into several agreements to develop an omnichannel business model in Malaysia in line with its digital transformation plan.
CHHB has signed a joint venture agreement (JVA) with Starpulse Sdn Bhd which paves the way for it to undertake licensing and collaboration agreements with Beijing Wodong Tianjun Information Technology Co Ltd (JD.com) to develop an omnichannel, or multi-channel, business model in Malaysia.
It will be setting up JDMines Sdn Bhd in a 70:30 venture, with CHHB holding the larger portion, to operate this digital initiative. Starpulse Sdn Bhd, a technology incubator, will hold 30 per cent.
"Starpulse will be working with CHHB on the implementation and execution of the omnichannel business model,” CHHB said in a Bursa Malaysia filing today.
CHHB said JDMines would license the platform and system from JD.com. The statement said JDMines will also build a physical store of about 100,000 sq ft on the ground floor of Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC) in Selangor.
In a separate filing, the group said the collaboration with JD.com would lead to the development of JD.com’s omnichannel business model, using JD.com technologies and CHHB’s resources for the Malaysian market. - Bernama
