       A CONCERT by Indian singer and actress Andrea Jeremiah nearly turned into a riot after unruly fans stormed the stage, Makkal Osai reported.

       She was performing at a temple festival in Salem, Tamil Nadu, when the chaos erupted.

       Some fans began heckling the singer, asking her to dance while she was singing, apparently expecting a performance in her usual glamorous style.

       Andrea, who was evidently annoyed by this, stopped her performance for a short while.

       This furthered angered the spectators.

       Some of the fans then tried to rush towards the stage at which point they were thrown out by the police, causing a tense scene.

       The singer, who has also appeared in around 30 films, reportedly left the show shortly after.
