A MAN who fell into the Kerian River in Parit Buntar, Perak, on Monday was found dead, Makkal Osai reported.
The Fire and Rescue Department began searching for him at 7pm after receiving a report that Jesudass Mariasoosai, 43, had fallen into the river.
After failing to locate the victim despite two days of searching by firemen, police and Civil Defence Force personnel, the Parit Buntar police station chief requested the use of tracking dogs from Klang.
The victim’s body was spotted floating near Tanjung Berembang in Nibong Tebal by a passer-by on Wednesday, said Kerian OCPD Supt Mazuki Mat.
The remains were retrieved and returned to the family the following day.

Any school found to have teachers working without completing their vaccination will be closed pending further action, the order said.
