FANS of Lisa, from the female K-pop group Blackpink, are furious that her debut single album Lalisa earned only a second placing in South Korean music TV show Inkigayo despite dominating the international charts, Nanyang Siang Pau reported.
The show had instead crowned South Korean singer Lee Mu-jin for his digital single Traffic Light, followed by Lisa’s Lalisa and South Korean K-pop group Aespa’s Next Level.
During the show, Lee earned 5,636 points, beating Lisa who scored 4,973 point; Aespa scored 4,908 points.
Lisa’s overseas fans took it out on Lee, saying Lisa is “the world’s number one singer”.
Inkigayo is a music programme aired by the Seoul Broadcasting System that awards the best performing singles weekly.
Lee, 21, rose to fame after claiming third spot in the music audition show Sing Again last year.
