But the firm stopped all services this week, with 100 staff made jobless from the County Down company's Waringstown, Bleary and Lisburn premises.
Resident's at Kirn Park - where homes were managed by the collapsed firm - say their properties have been left unliveable with unfinished kitchens and bathrooms.
Some even likened the area to a "third world country".
Local June Patton told Belfast Live: "The men came last Thursday and took the kitchen out, ripped the ceiling down and lifted the floor.
“They came back later that day to spray the walls and then on Friday they spent ten minutes doing some plumbing. That was the last I saw of them."
She said her place has been ripped up by the work and described holes in the walls which leave her terrified of mice.

Local shops have been sending essential supplies to residents - including water, food and baby wipes.
Fellow resident Joanne Large told how she has no electricity.
She added: "We have no electricity or sink in the kitchen. We’re having to use the bath to do the dishes, get washed and brush our teeth."
A Housing Executive spokesperson said: "Our staff, including maintenance workers, are on-site and have reviewed each property with a view to installing temporary cooking facilities.
"These should be ready within the next 24 hours.
"We have also worked closely with local community representatives and have discussed temporary accommodation with householders where this option may be appropriate.
"As always, we will keep those affected informed with any relevant updates."
