GEORGE TOWN: Kedah Mentri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor lauded the appointment of Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob as Deputy Prime Minister.

       Muhammad Sanusi also congratulated Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein who was promoted to Senior Minister (Security).

       "Hishammuddin's appointment is of significance as he heads the Security Cluster which will be assisting the Prime Minister in implementing the National Recovery Plan," added Sanusi.

       "The promotion of both ministers will have a great impact on the government's ability to increase its overall performance," he said.

       Perlis Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azlan Man congratulated both Ismail Sabri and Hishammuddin, saying their experience would be an asset to the government.
