KOTA KINABALU: The ceiling at the 11th floor at the aged Wisma Dang Bandang government building here collapsed on Thursday (Jan 13).

       Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident.

       According to Sabah Fire and Rescue Department deputy operations chief Misran Bisara, they received a call about the incident at 3.32pm.

       “The ceiling from the auditorium on the 11th floor collapsed,” he said.

       He said workers at the building were instructed not to step into the area until engineers had checked and accessed the structure of the building.

       Wisma Dang Bandang houses various government agencies including the state Information Department and the Immigration Department.
