JOHOR BARU: A total of 28 policemen have tested positive for Covid-19, with another 40 will have to be quarantined across the state of Johor on Wednesday (Aug 12), says Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay,.
The Johor police chief said policing is going on as usual as policemen from other districts are filling in the gaps.
He said including policemen and their families, a total of 68 people had tested positive for Covid-19 and 93 are under quarantine.
"More than 50% of the cases involve family members," he said during a press conference at the Johor Police Headquarters here on Thursday (Aug 12), stressing the urgency to follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) from the National Security Council.
Comm Ayob also said that any lack of manpower in districts would be covered by those from the Johor police headquarters and vice versa.
