PETALING JAYA: Vitrox Corp Bhd posted a record quarterly net profit of RM50.64mil, 121% higher year-on-year, for its second quarter ended June 30, 2021.
The improved results were attributable to a surge in sales volume for its machine vision system and automated board inspection products.
The group also posted its highest ever quarterly revenue, which jumped 103.2% year-on-year, to RM196.2mil.
Based in Penang, Vitrox designs and manufactures automated vision inspection equipment and system-on-chip embedded electronics devices for the semiconductor and electronics packaging industries.
For the six months under review, the group’s net profit jumped 84.9% year-on-year to RM81.3mil while revenue spiked 74.5% to RM326.1mil due to stronger demand for both the machine vision system and automated board inspection products.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Vitrox said it is optimistic about its prospects for 2021 with the acceleration of the digital adoption and transformation worldwide amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
