SINGER Zizi Kirana has reconnected with her father after 33 years of separation.
The 36-year-old said she had not seen her father since she was three years old after her parents divorced, Mingguan Malaysia reported.
“We were reunited during the soleminisation ceremony of my marriage to (actor) Yusof Bahrin on Sept 19,” she said during an Instagram Live session recently.
She searched for him on Instagram “and thankfully, I stumbled upon my step-siblings, who connected us”.
“Despite only communicating via the phone, my father gave his full cooperation. All relevant documents for my marriage were sent via courier,” she said.
The singer, who is popular for her song Eh, said she is planning to bring her husband to meet her father after the interstate travel ban is lifted.
Zizi married Yusof at a mosque in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur.
> A 35-year-old disabled man was “cured” after his “spirit” (semangat) was apparently hidden by supernatural beings for 12 hours.
Kosmo! reported that the man was earlier found in an abandoned pool in a village in Lubuk China, Rembau.
He was in a very frail state then.
His father Samat Ramu claimed two supernatural beings had been disturbing his son all the way to their home.
Samat, 63, said a religious medical practitioner from Muar, Johor, eventually drove away the spirits.
“He sent the supernatural beings to some bushes near the pool where my son was found.
“I am glad that my son is on the road to recovery and I hope he will be able to put the incident behind him,” he added.
Villagers claimed that people would often go missing mysteriously and return home looking very dishevelled.
