A YOUNG boy in Menglembu, Ipoh, who was helping his mother sell flowers by the roadside to sustain the family’s income, received some much-needed help from the Malaysian Ajith Kumar Fans United fan club, Makkal Osai reported.The story about the boy, identified as Vickneswaran, went viral after his plight was posted online.
Proceeds from the flower sales were the family’s only source of income for the last two months.
The fan club’s members nationwide contributed RM4,350 so that a proper flower stall could be set up for Vickneswaran and his mother, club president Yogeswaran Sahadevan said.
The members want to ensure Vickneswaran would be able to continue his education while helping his family, Yogeswaran said.

R. Thanabal, 24, claimed to be in love with a 16-year-old girl who had spurned his affections.
After being scolded for his behaviour, Thanabal began loitering near the teen’s house.
Upon noticing this, the girl’s father beat Thanabal with a stick after confronting him together with his uncle.
Angered by this, Thanabal attempted to throw homemade explosives at the two men.
