YOKOHAMA -- A man has been arrested for allegedly intruding on the premises of a local apartment complex where Kei Komuro's mother lives, the Mainichi Shimbun learned from Kanagawa Prefectural Police on Nov. 4.
Komuro, 30, is married to former Princess Mako, 30, the elder daughter of Crown Prince Akishino (Fumihito).
Police arrested the man, who claims to be a part-time postal worker, on suspicion of intrusion into a structure without permission.
According to the prefectural police, the man apparently approached a resident on the housing complex premises on Nov. 3 and said, "Please let me interview you." The resident became suspicious and called police, and an officer apprehended the man as he was about to leave.
