NEW YORK, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 jolted 1 km WNW of Lytle Creek, U.S. state of California, at 18:55:54 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 8.8 km, was initially determined to be at 34.26 degrees north latitude and 117.51 degrees west longitude.
