       KUWAIT CITY, Oct 13: The Deputy Director-General of the Public Authority for Manpower for the Labor Affairs Sector, Abdullah Al-Mutatah, announced the renewal of 666,000 work permits during the period from January 12 to September 30 this year, reports Al-Qabas daily. Al-Mutatah added in a television interview that during the Corona pandemic, about 59,000 workers left the labor market voluntarily, in addition to others from government shelters.

       He stated that the authority’s system contains 111,000 thousand special files for companies and 180,000, employing 1.4 million workers. He pointed out that during the above mentioned period, 146,000 workers sought transfer from one company to another.
