The car has now been moved to the hard shoulder but traffic is still slow-moving on approach. Emergency services are not yet at the scene. One lane was blocked but has now reopened.

       There is heavy congestion on the other lanes.

       An update from Kent news outlet @kmfmnews just after 7am read: "TRAVEL: There's slow traffic on the #M25 clockwise following an earlier crash between J2 for the #A2 (Darenth Interchange) and J3 for the #M20 (Swanley Interchange) - all lanes have reopened".

       A broken-down vehicle has also caused one lane of the M25 clockwise entry slip road at J1A to be closed, just after the Dartford crossing.

       Referring to the M25 crash, BBC Radio London Travel tweeted: "M25 - 1 lane blocked cwise j2 to j3 rtc - emerg servs not at scene yet. LP"

       They added: "Has been quickly moved to hard shoulder - still slow on approach."

       @Traffic_M25 tweeted: "#M25 clockwise between J2 and J3 (M20 J1 / Swanley) - Accident"

       Traffic is still moving slowly on the M25 clockwise around Darenth Interchange and Swanley Interchange.

       There is also traffic on the M25 clockwise at J30.

       Meanwhile, a broken down vehicle on the M25 anti-clockwise is causing congestion between J25 at Cheshunt and J24 at Potters Bar.

       Yesterday, a major crash between a car and a lorry caused severe delays on the M25 anti-clockwise.

       The incident occurred at junction 30 with the A282 near Lakeside Shopping Centre in Purfleet (Thursday, November 25), causing a lane on the exit slip road to be closed off.
