To mark the happy occasion, the 43-year-old shared pictures on her Instagram account of the reunion. These included one of Charlene and her husband Prince Albert joyously embracing. The Monaco royal clearly did his best to impress his wife, by making a sweet nod to one of her charitable causes.

Albert can be seen wearing a t-shirt from her Chasing Zero initiative, which is dedicated to saving the rhino.

In a quote attributed to her on the charity's website, Charlene says: "By protecting the rhinos, we’re conserving their habitat, which is beneficial for people and wildlife, supporting our local communities, and ensuring a legacy for future generations."

Other photos in her instagram post show the South African-born princess cuddling her children Gabriella and Jaques.

Two other pictures showed the adventurous six-year-old twins perched on a branch they climbed.

The portraits were accompanied by a caption by Princess Charlene, reading: "I am so thrilled to have my family back with me".

Charlene left Monaco in January for a routine surgical procedure in her homeland.
