IPOH: Jalan Simpang Pulai-Blue Valley, which was hit by a landslide on Dec 2, is expected to reopen next Tuesday, says the Perak Public Works Department.
Its deputy director Hamdan Ali said debris clearing was still ongoing.
He added that due to the rainy weather at the location, there was still a continuous landslide occurring from the mounds of soil on the slope.
“Debris cleaning work could be completed as expected. Work progress is currently at 40% and we are trying our best to clear the area. However, the weather is hampering our efforts,” he said.
Hamdan apologised for the inconvenience caused, but said the safety of road users was of utmost importance.
