       1. Covid vaccine booster rollout at a standstill despite No 10 pledge to put it ‘on steroids’

       The booster rollout vaccinated fewer people over the weekend than it did before ministers promised to put it “on steroids”, figures showed on Monday.

       The number of third jabs administered in England was lower last weekend than it was the previous one, when the Prime Minister called for the programme to be accelerated, in order to build defences against the omicron variant. Read the full story.

       2. Afghan allies ‘left at the mercy of Taliban’ while civil servants worked from home

       The Civil Service’s work-from-home policy left Afghan refugees at the mercy of the Taliban, a Foreign Office whistleblower has told MPs.

       Raphael Marshall, a 25-year-old desk officer with no prior knowledge or experience of Afghanistan, was one of the civil servants chosen to monitor an email inbox of applications for emergency evacuation from Kabul airport. Read the full story.

       3. Ryder Cup golfer ‘groped air stewardess and urinated on seats’ after ‘partying’ in first class

       Thorbj?rn Olesen, the Ryder Cup-winning Danish golfer, sexually assaulted a woman on a British Airways flight after drinking champagne and vodka and taking sleeping pills, a court has heard.

       The 31-year-old was on his way home from a tournament in Memphis, Tennessee, and was travelling with English golf stars Ian Poulter and Justin Rose, when he allegedly grabbed a woman's breast, swore, pushed a member of the cabin crew and urinated on a first class seat. Read the full story.

       4. Prince Harry’s concerns over billionaire Saudi donor ‘did not reach Charles’

       The Duke of Sussex’s claim that he raised concern about a Saudi donor was met with confusion on Monday as royal sources said that “no one can remember” it being raised with his father’s household.

       The Duke revealed that he “severed ties” with Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz in 2015, a year before the Prince of Wales presented the businessman with an honorary CBE. Read the full story.

       5. Viagra could be a potent force in the fight against Alzheimer’s, says study

       Viagra may be able to protect people from developing Alzheimer’s disease, a new study has suggested.

       The medication, also known by its chemical name sildenafil, is safe to use and currently prescribed as a treatment for erectile dysfunction in men as well as for high blood pressure. Read the full story.
