The driver, Jose T. Villanueva of Alexandria, was driving a Chevrolet Camaro on the ramp when “it ran off the left side of the road, struck a curb and overturned,” police said in a statement. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
Police officials said he was not “wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.” Authorities also said in the statement that “speed and alcohol are being investigated as a contributing factor in the crash.”
The crash remains under investigation.
