KUWAIT CITY, Sept 6: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas issued circular No. 186/2023 stipulating that members of the police force should not travel to countries witnessing unrest such as Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Sudan, without prior permission from the employer (head of the sector, assistant undersecretary and director general depending on the circumstances), reports Aljarida daily. The circular indicated that this decision comes within the framework of the ministry’s concern for the safety of the members of the police force, and to preserve their security and safety.

It stressed that whoever violates the circular exposes himself to legal accountability in accordance with the provisions of administrative order No. 3/1994 regarding standing orders for members of the police force and the instructions issued in this regard. The ministry called on all its agencies to work on implementing the circular with precision.
