Queen Elizabeth, who has been in the news of late following a sprained back, is the longest-reigning monarch in British history.

       She visited Malaysia in 1972, 1989 and 1998.

       Her first trip here in 1972 was prominently covered by The Star on its page 1.

       The queen had toured the country then with Prince Philip and their daughter, Princess Anne.
