JOHOR BARU: Eight individuals have received state awards from Johor's Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar on the occasion of His Majesty's birthday.
Sultan Ibrahim presented the Dato' Mulia Sultan Ibrahim Johor (DMIJ), which carries the title Datuk, to four individuals namely Johor Land and Mines director Ashari Kasnan, deputy state secretary (Sports, Youths and Volunteers) On Jabbar @ Ja'afar and Muar district officer Mustaffa Kamal Shamsudin.
Johor State Housing Development Corporation general manager Suhailizan Suliman was also conferred the title of Datin Paduka at the investiture ceremony in conjunction with the Johor Ruler's official birthday celebration at Balai Mengadap, Istana Bukit Serene, here on Wednesday (March 23).
Also present were Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim and Tunku Temenggong Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim.
At the event, Sultan Ibrahim also presented the title of Darjah Sultan Ibrahim Johor Yang Amat Disanjungi Pangkat Ketiga Setia Mulia Sultan Ibrahim Johor (SIJ) to four others.
They are Southern Region Marine Department director Dickson Dollah, Kluang Municipal Council president Norliyati Md Noor, Johor ICT Unit secretary Ungku Suzana Ungku Mohammad and Johor Islamic Religious Department deputy director for religious education Yosree Ikhsan.
