Tesco Clubcard holders are being given 2,500 free points to spend how they choose if they link their account with OVO Energy.

       The freebie is available to both new and existing OVO customers as part of a new partnership between the two brands.

       OVO says it will give 2,500 Clubcard points - which once redeemed is worth ￡25 in Tesco vouchers - simply by linking their two accounts.

       Existing OVO customers just need to log into their online account, click on the profile icon and then ‘Our Partners’, followed by the Tesco Clubcard logo to check their eligibility.

       From here, you can link your OVO and Tesco Clubcard accounts and activate the offer to claim the free reward. Once activated, Tesco will credit your 2,500 Clubcard points within 60 days.

       New OVO customers can link their Tesco Clubcard account when they sign up with the energy supplier, with the points then credited within 60 days.

       To be qualify for the freebie you must the following six criteria:

       If you don’t have a Clubcard you can register for one online for free. As a loyalty member you’ll earn points for every ￡1 spent at Tesco and these can be turned into vouchers, with every 150 points giving you ￡1.50 in Clubcard vouchers.

       The vouchers remain valid for two years and can be spent in store or online, and can be doubled in value when redeemed with one of Tesco’s 100 Reward Partners, which include Disney+, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, ASK Italian, Pizza Express, the RAC and Cineworld.

       The 2,500 points can only be claimed once per household and only one Tesco Clubcard can be linked to your OVO account.

       The offer is running until June 11, 2025, so there’s still loads of time to claim your points. But customers should note that if you switch energy suppliers during the first 60 days of signing up then you won’t get the reward.
