KOTA KINABALU: One of Sabah’s famed Elvis Presley impersonators, Cyril Jones Christopher Gomes (pic), passed away on Friday (March 18).

       Gomes, who would have turned 76 this July, breathed his last at around 4am, said family members.

       His son Elton said arrangements were being made for his burial and other matters.

       “We are arranging for friends and family to pay their last respects. Details will be given later,” he said.

       Gomes had been battling illness for quite some time.

       He had been one of the more renowned Elvis impersonators in Sabah, going from one event to another nationwide during his heyday.
