Paris bid farewell to the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games this weekend with a giant parade, medal ceremony and open-air concert attended by tens of thousands of spectators, as well as volunteers and athletes.
As many as 10,000 athletes, organizers and volunteers were invited to march the length of the Champs-élysées to the Arc de Triomphe monument Saturday as part of the Champions Parade. There, French President Emmanuel Macron presented all French Olympic and Paralympic medalists the country’s highest award, the Légion d’Honneur.
