A PHOTOGRAPHER who raped an aspiring model after luring her to the pub has been jailed.

       Sritharan Sayanthan, 42, from Fitzrovia, London, got his victim so drunk she ended up blacking out on the floor of the studio where he worked.

       The woman, in her 30s, first met Sayanthan at the photography studio on Brompton Road in the capital when she paid him to take pictures back in May last year.

       She then met him again on July 8 for a drink at a pub on Warren Street - something she thought was a networking evening.

       Sayanthan then encouraged her to drink "very quickly" before luring her back, a court heard.

       When coming back around, the woman became aware she was being assaulted but couldn't respond.

       Her attacker then started putting her clothes back on her before walking her to a nearby tube station.

       The victim, a Chinese national, reported the incident to police a few weeks later.

       CCTV footage saw her arriving at Warren Street station before being back there nearly four hours later unsteady on her feet.

       Two historical allegations of sexual assault against clients by Sayanthan in 2012 and 2015 were also found.

       He was found guilty of two counts of rape at Hendon Crown Court and jailed for 11 years.

       Cops are now appealing for any further potential victims to come forward.

       Detective Constable Sophie Baker said: "The victim survivor in this case was fantastic from start to finish.

       "She was extremely nervous at the prospect of giving evidence but, with the support of an interpreter, she told the court in fine detail what happened.

       "For victims, describing the incident in court can be daunting but she did amazingly and I am personally very proud of her bravery and thankful to her for coming forward.

       "We also believe there could be other victims of Sayanthan and would encourage anyone who wants to speak to us to come forward.

       "No piece of information is too small and you will be listened to and supported."
