KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah has been kept out of discussions between Pakatan Harapan and the government over the memorandum of understanding for bipartisan cooperation.

Warisan youth leader Azis Jamman (pic) said that at no point had Pakatan or the government invited the party to join in discussions on the MOU to be signed at 5pm Monday (Sept 13).

"They (Pakatan) have been holding discussions with the government but we have not been invited or informed of it," he said when contacted.

He said in such discussions, Warisan would highlight issues that needed to be addressed for Sabah and Sarawak, especially in terms of the Malaysia Agreement 1963.

"We don't even know the contents of the MOU," he said.

He also took to task Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim over his continued talk of inclusiveness.

"We are kept in the dark. But he always talked of inclusiveness, we were not even informed of the meetings," he added.

"The voices of Sabah and Sarawak should be heard," said Aziz, whose Warisan party with eight MPs is working together with Parti Sarawak Bersatu and a pro-tem Muda.

The group of 11 MPs have worked on the broader Opposition framework with Pakatan but have not joined Pakatan.

Sabah-based Upko with one MP, Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau, broke away from the bloc to join Pakatan.

Government and Pakatan leaders are expected to sign a MOU on bipartisan cooperation on proposed reforms to ensure political stability in the fight against Covid 19 and economic recovery.

Prime Minister Seri Ismail Sabri with other government and Opposition leaders including PKR president and Opposition leader Anwar, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu and Upko president Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau will be at the signing ceremony at Parliament.
