Kate, the Princess of Wales, celebrates her 43rd birthday today and is set to return to public duties this month after spending a quiet Christmas in Norfolk with her family and the wider Royal Family.
Although the Princess has been able to carry out some public engagements in recent months despite the challenging year she just left behind, sources say she is continuing to focus on her health and her family.
Kate was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in early 2024, and after completing her chemotherapy treatment, she is "focused on remaining cancer-free", as she revealed in a video shared by Kensington Palace in September.
On Christmas Day, the royal mother-of-three looked radiant in green as she was seen greeting well-wishers at Sandringham, where she joined King Charles and Queen Camilla for their traditional Christmas gathering.
According to Hello! Magazine, the princess was set to return to Windsor this week and will be celebrating her birthday back at the Wales family home in Berkshire, Adelaide Cottage.

Princess Kate stunned the world when she married Prince William at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011. Around 2,000 specially-invited guests filled the Abbey, including friends of the couple and figures from the worlds of sport and entertainment which included sports star David Beckham and singer Sir Elton John. Kate's bridal gown continues to be one of the most memorable royal wedding looks. Made in collaboration with Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, the timeless dress featured metres of lace, and is thought to have cost £250,000. Kate looked a vision and her dress included an ivory satin Victorian-inspired corset bodice, which was "narrowed at the waist and padded at the hips".

The royal mum looked glowing as she emerged from the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital, cradling her newborn son, Prince George. Weighing a healthy 8lbs 6oz, the baby prince arrived at 4.24pm on July 22, 2013 at Paddington Hospital. Kate wore an iconic Jenny Packham polka dot dress. The dress chosen by the Princess of Wales seemingly bore a great meaning. The blue mini dress was not very loose fitting, which meant that Kate's postpartum belly could clearly be seen. It is thought this was seen as a powerful move to normalise the post-birth body of the Princess.

Kate delivered glitz and glamour in 2021 at the world premiere of No Time to Die - part of the Bond franchise and the last film seeing Daniel Craig as 007. Dazzling in a gold cape gown by Jenny Packham, Kate paired her look with similarly bold earrings and a braided updo. The dress was a step away from the Duchess’s usual formalwear with its architectural shoulders and train.
