KUALA LUMPUR: Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd has secured a RM710.08mil construction contract from Nikmat Merpati Sdn Bhd.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Kerjaya Prospek said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of award (LoA) from Nikmat Merpati for the construction of main building and external works for a proposed residential development project at Jalan Enggang, Bandar Ulu Kelang, Selangor.
The LOA is for the development of Astrum Ampang, a 6.75-acre Transit Oriented Development (TOD) located near Jalan Jelatek and Jalan Ampang, Selangor.
The project with a gross development value (GDV) of RM1.6bil entails six blocks, consisting of a mixture of 5,255 small office home office (SOHO) units, apartments and retail spaces.
“This latest contract not only marks a significant milestone for the group as it represents our largest ever contract win from an external party in our corporate history, it serves as a testament to our proven track record and ability to secure sizeable contracts from our clients,” chief executive officer and executive director Tee Eng Tiong said in a statement.
“Going forward, we will continue to leverage on our core expertise to secure new projects. As the nation begins to recover from the adverse impacts of Covid-19, we remain optimistic of achieving our contract wins target of RM1.2bil in FY22,” Tee added.
Along with this contract award, Kerjaya’s outstanding order book is bolstered to RM4.1bil, which will sustain the group’s earnings over the next five years.
