KUALA LUMPUR: Solarvest Holdings Bhd has secured a RM22.2mil contract from NEFIN Group to install rooftop solar photovoltaic panels on the facilities of XSD International Paper Sdn Bhd in Padang Meha, Kedah.
"Hot on the heels of all the Large-Scale Solar wins, we are happy to announce that the momentum of our C&I segment remained intact with the latest contract secured.
"Having worked with NEFIN before and given its standing in the renewable energy space, the contract attained speaks volumes about our capabilities as a turnkey solar solutions provider,” said group CEO Davis Chong Chun Shiong in a statement.
He said there is still ample room for the group to improve despite the C&I division more than doubling in revenue over the last two financial years.
He expects the likely introduction of carbon pricing and carbon tax as well as the focus on environmental, social and governance policies to incentivise more companies to adopt clean energy, with solar being the prominent choice.
“Given the favourable factors, we are stepping up our efforts to capitalise on the growth potential and further strengthen our footing in the industry.
"Among the exciting plans we have in place is the recently announced initiative to make solar financing and leasing accessible to prospective C&I clients via the Powervest programme,” he added.
