KUALA LUMPUR: KPower Bhd has secured a RM104.96mil contract from Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd (FSSB) for the procurement, testing, and maintenance works in relation to the proposed 50MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant.

       In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, KPower said its wholly owned subsidiary KPower Engineering Sdn Bhd (KPEng) had accepted the letter of award from FSSB.

       “The scope of work includes the provision of the procurement of equipment and materials in connection to the project, provision of the logistic works, testing works and the maintenance and security of the equipment during the contract period in connection with the project,” it said.

       "KPEng has agreed to facilitate FSSB in procuring the issuance of a performance security by way of a bank guarantee (performance bond) for RM13.63mil

       "KPEng shall complete all the works to achieve the schedule completion date not later than Feb 28, 2023," it added.

       KPower expects the award to contribute positively to the net assets, consolidated earnings, and earnings per share of the company for the financial year ending June 30, 2022 to 2023.
