KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Umno chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin’s decision has cemented Sabah Umno’s autonomy and showed that Sabah Umno is a party that prioritises the people of this state, says Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.

       “The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) government is the democratically elected government of the day in Sabah.

       “As such, we will continue to work hard for the people, fulfil our promises made during the election campaign and move Sabah forward,” said the Sabah STAR president.

       Jeffrey said STAR applauded the decision made by Bung to continue the party’s support for the GRS-led state government.

       Bung’s statement on this came following Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s announcement to withdraw support for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as Prime Minister.

       Kitingan added that as a party, STAR would continue to support the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and urged its members to remain calm and carry on with their duties as usual.
