Welsh Tory leader Andrew RT Davies said: “Motorists and business owners across Wales will breathe a sigh of relief at this news.
“The Deputy Minister’s time in post has been characterised by one anti-motorist policy after another, slowing Wales down and doing serious damage to our economy.
“It’s time to scrap the road building ban, scrap the 20mph speed limit, and implement a transport policy that gets Wales moving.”

Mr Waters survived a confidence vote in the Senedd last year in the wake of the rollout of the 20mph speed limit in Wales in September.
The Labour-run Welsh Government has said that slashing the speed limit would protect lives and save the NHS in Wales £92million a year.
But the move has sparked widespread fury with a petition demanding it be scrapped surpassing 469,000 signatures.
