Mark Dolan, gave a monologue on Tonight Live about the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan. Mr Dolan said: “The Taliban have only been in a week. And this is the level of barbarism we are now seeing.

“If that is what they are willing to do to the people of Afghanistan, what plans do they have for the wider world?

“Especially our part of the world of the West, with its values of freedom and democracy, equality and tolerance, values they despise so much.

“What you have seen with Joe Biden's botched departure is appeasement. And there isn't great historical precedent for that policy.”

The comments come as Joe Biden refuses to extend the deadline for withdrawing troops from Afghanistan beyond August 31.

However, thousands of people are still trying to escape the Taliban and flee from Afghanistan.

The GB News Host added: “In fact Joe Biden isn't even the new Neville Chamberlain. He makes Neville Chamberlain look like the new Winston Churchill.”

“This is a surrender of the highest order and America is rapidly losing its status as the world’s predominant superpower.

“Afghanistan is not a problem that will go away, the Taliban will likely reach out to terror groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS and will enjoy the tacit support of global actors like Russia and China.”

The US have evacuated 75,9000 people since the end of July.

President Biden has been criticised for his handling of the crisis in Afghanistan.

Biden’s ratings have fallen to their lowest ever, with one US poll putting the President at 41% approval by Americans.

Commenting on the poll, David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk Political Research Center, said: “Today, President Biden's overall approval has taken a turn for the worse due to his awful job performance rating on Afghanistan.”
