       KUWAIT CITY, Nov 17: Ambassador of India to Kuwait, HE Sibi George paid a visit to the Muhammad Al-Ahmad Kuwait Naval Base and met Commander of Kuwait Naval Forces, HE Brigadier-General Hazza Mutlaq Al-Alati. During the visit both sides reviewed the ongoing cooperation between the two countries and ways of furthering deepening the engagement including in maritime areas. They also discussed the joint fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

       The Indian envoy took this opportunity to thank the Kuwaiti leadership for the logistical and other support given to India during the visit of Indian Naval Ships to Kuwait in June 2021 as part of the sea/air bridge set up for the supply of medical oxygen to India during the pandemic. It is worth mentioning India and Kuwait share a strong maritime ‘connection’ spanning over centuries. The navies of both countries remain in close contact for further upgrading their bilateral relationship.
