KUALA LUMPUR: An extension of the Sandakan airport runway and other infrastructure development projects to benefit the rakyat were among the topics discussed when Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong met Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor here.

       In a Facebook post on Saturday (Dec 18), Dr Wee said the hour-long meeting also touched on airport, seaport and other transport infrastructure matters.

       "The Transport Ministry is receiving input from the Sabah government to plan these projects according to the state's aspirations, to bring benefit to its people," he said.

       Dr Wee said he also informed Hajiji during their Friday (Dec 17) meeting that the Sandakan airport runway extension would be completed very soon.
