The most likely time for this bank holiday will be later in the summer so employers can prepare.
According to The Daily Telegraph , August 27 is being looked at as a possible date.
There has also been a talk of the holding of a victory parade for the England team if they win against Italy.
A bank holiday on Friday 27 August could see a victory parade whilst pupils are still off school.
One source told the newspaper creating a four-day weekend would also create an economic boost as it would allow more people to go away on a mini-break before schools returned for the next academic year.
A petition that urged the Government to make Monday 19 July a bank holiday passed 320,000 signatures.
Both schools and employers up and down England have also said they would be flexible on Monday morning to allow staff and pupils a lie-in after the football final.
It is not known if the Queen will attend Wembley on Sunday evening as she has not attended a major sporting event since the opening ceremony of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
