KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis has launched the Maxis Right Cloud proposition which offers enterprises greater visibility, insights and control of their cloud resources, including workloads on leading public cloud providers.

       This is particularly useful for enterprises leveraging various cloud providers and would like a single view of how they are currently using their digital resources, said head of enterprise practices Claire Featherstone.

       She said the new proposition is built on three important elements: the right cloud, right expertise and right network.

       "Combined, we are able to support enterprises with a holistic cloud transformation journey from design to implementation, so they can focus on driving business outcomes.

       "Our ambitions to accelerate cloud adoption in the country are line with our commitment to support the nation’s digital agenda,” she told a virtual press conference today.

       According to her, the Maxis Right Cloud is supported by end-to-end in-house capabilities from assessing, designing, building, migrating, securing and managing the cloud infrastructure for businesses.

       On service fee, Featherstone said Maxis is adopting the way that hyper scalers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft charge its users.

       "Like AWS and Microsoft, users are charged for the cloud services on a pay-as-you-use basis. But since we are providing professional services and an extensive range of managed cloud services and solutions, there may be a different sort of charging models for those services as well,” she said.

       She said that in addition to working with leading public cloud providers as well as private and hybrid cloud services, Maxis also has a large pool of technical experts who are fully accredited and certified by AWS and Microsoft.

       On security, head of enterprise products Selvakumar Rajasekaran said Maxis has the capability and expertise to tailor the security capabilities for its users’ business.

       "We are able to design and tailor the security needs of a cloud environment. We work with their business and their experts, understanding their sensitivity of data and types of transactions that have happened,” he said.
