PETALING JAYA: Hong Leong Assurance (HLA) is offering hospitalisation reimbursement benefit to all its policyholders with individual medical plans, when they get admitted at private hospitals for Covid-19 treatments in categories three, four and five.

       HLA said this coverage was given at no extra cost as part of HLA’s complimentary special benefit programme for Covid-19.

       “Policyholders are entitled to claim hospitalisation reimbursement up to their annual limit and lifetime limit, subject to the existing terms and condition of their medical plan,” it said in a statement yesterday.

       This programme also offered policyholders coverage for post-vaccination complications with a daily hospitalisation benefit of RM200 per day up to seven days, for any complications that may arise after they are vaccinated.

       HLA said it recognised the need to empower its customers with sufficient medical coverage, so that they could seek Covid-19 treatment at private hospitals.

       The insurer said it was constantly strategising efforts to ensure that the health and wellbeing of its customers were adequately protected during this period of uncertainty.

       “Rest assured, we will continue to expand and strengthen our coverage,” it said.
