KUALA LUMPUR: A police inspector from the Dang Wangi police headquarters took his own life with a pistol.

       Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday (Feb 27).

       "The man, aged 35, shot himself at a house on Jalan Selingsing, Kuala Lumpur. The officer was attached to the Dang Wangi police headquarters.

       "An ambulance was sent to the scene and the victim was pronounced dead by a medical officer at 3.59pm. The motive behind the incident is still being investigated by the police," he said.
