KIEV, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) will shrink by 45.1 percent this year due to the conflict with Russia, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported on Monday, citing a recent World Bank (WB) report.
In its report, the bank has projected that the poverty rate in Ukraine will increase from 1.8 percent in 2021 to 19.8 percent in 2022.
The private consumption in Ukraine this year will fall by 50 percent, exports will decrease by 80 percent, while imports will shrink by 70 percent.
In 2023, the Ukrainian economy is expected to rise by 2.1 percent, down from the previous projection of 3.5 percent, the WB said.
