LOCAL actress Jasmin Hamid (pic) vented her frustration on social media at individuals who lie in order to travel interstate during the Hari Raya Aidiladha festive period, Harian Metro reported.
“This year, return home for Raya to sacrifice cattle or sacrifice your mother and father?” she said in a recent Instagram post which included a video of a gravedigger relating the experience of burying Covid-19 patients.
She also extended her Raya greetings to frontliners who sacrificed spending time with their families during the festive period battling the pandemic.
“Those who are invincible to Covid-19 still try to cross borders although (it is) not allowed.
“All kinds of excuses surface during Raya and even to the extent of lying,” she said.
Jasmin reminded fans to follow the standard operating procedures and forgo the celebrations by staying home to protect their families.
She added there is no point in enjoying for a day but end up suffering when it’s already too late.
“Enjoy for a day but suffer forever. Great, isn’t that!” said Jasmin, who added that the actions of irresponsible individuals will affect the lives of others.
> Sherry Alhadad succeeded in shedding 25kg in a bid to get into better shape, Berita Harian reported.
The 36-year-old actress and comedian, whose real name is Shariffah Mariam Syed Abdullah Al Hadad, said her weight loss was due to dieting, doing regular workouts and using slimming products.
Recently, there was talk that Sherry, who hosts The Sherry Show, is embarking on the weight loss journey with the hope of finding love. However, Sherry was quick to dismiss such talk.
“I am still single and find it hard to find love.
“Maybe it is my humorous nature which gives rise to doubts among men if I can be serious in love,” she said.
