Among stocks to watch are companies that saw improved quarterly results such as Sunway Bhd, Genting Malaysia Bhd, Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd, Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Bhd, IHH Healthcare Bhd, KPJ Healthcare Bhd, and YTL Corp Bhd.
Petronas Dagangan Bhd, Genting Bhd, Malaysia Building Society Bhd, MISC Bhd, Malayan Banking Bhd, DRB-Hicom Bhd, and AME Elite Consortium Bhd posted declines in their quarterly earnings.
Meanwhile, Optimax Holdings Berhad is transferring its listing to the Main Market of Bursa Securities from the ACE Market.
Mega First Corp Bhd is buying a 28.83% stake in Integrated Smart Technology Sdn Bhd (IST) for RM5.56mil.
Meanwhile, JF Apex said the FBM KLI could follow suit and climb towards the resistance of 1,565 points.
The US market rallied overnight following better-than-expected quarterly earnings.
