LIKE many Malaysians, actor and comedian Ebby Yus was affected by the massive floods that hit parts of the country last month, reported Harian Metro.
The 56-year-old saw his dream house, which was under construction, destroyed by the floods in Hulu Langat in Selangor.
“If you ask me if I feel sad over what had happened, I am not going to deny that. But we do not know what Allah’s plan is.
“Before we want to enjoy his grace, Allah will put us to the test first and I accept it. This is because I am confident that the Almighty has arranged it all.
“But in the meantime, we have to remain patient and calm,” said Ebby, whose real name is Muhammad Yunus Abdul Rashid.
Not only was he affected by the floods, Ebby is also currently suffering from health issues, which resulted in him being admitted to Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
“I had to be admitted because my heart was swollen, my lungs were full of water and I also had kidney problems.
“Thankfully, after being treated at the hospital, I have recovered and was discharged. The doctors said I need to rest and go for my scheduled appointments,” said Ebby.
> The daily also reported actress Anzalna Nasir as saying that since she put on the hijab, she has been showered with blessings and good fortune.
The 34-year-old mother of one said she had been receiving many acting and business offers since September.
“I was surprised to be receiving so many offers but I had to decline because my intention to put on a hijab was not to make money,” she said.
Anzalna said although she had embraced her new persona, it would take some time before she could remove her old photos due to contractual obligations.
“Changing one’s image cannot just happen overnight. It’s not my intent to keep the older photos of myself not wearing the hijab but I cannot delete them yet as I still have contracts with some products.
“When the time comes, I will delete those old photos as I have no issue doing so,” said Anzalna during the launch event of her new hijab line.
