PETALING JAYA: The Crisis Relief Squad of MCA (CRSM) on Saturday (July 3) donated 15 whiteboards to the Ampang Hospital, which was converted to a full-fledged Covid-19 hospital last month.
The increasing number of Covid-19 patients has led to a shortage of equipment in the hospital.
"According to the hospital, the whiteboards are used to record and supervise the condition of Covid-19 patients.
"As the number of patients increases, the hospital needs more whiteboards for patient management," said Yayasan CRSM chairman Datuk Lee Hong Tee.
CRSM also donated 250 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectant to the hospital.
"The Covid-19 pandemic has hit urgent levels. Frontline personnel are struggling, and many hospitals are facing a shortage of supplies.
"Although people continue to provide assistance, it is not enough to cope with daily consumption," he said.
CRSM together with the GoCare crowdfunding platform have launched a campaign to procure supplies urgently needed by Covid-19 designated hospitals.
Currently, there is an urgent need for whiteboards with large wheels, wall clocks, electronic weight scales, printers, and walkie-talkies, he said.
